Fourteen studios in London

London Podcasts sits at Academic House in London, a short walk from Mornington Crescent and Camden Town. The facility is part of the Fitzrovia Post group and is built for broadcast-quality audio and multi-camera video podcasts.

There are 14 purpose-built recording studios. Four are permanently set up for video; cameras can be moved into other rooms when a shoot needs them. Sets range from fixed and adaptable layouts to fully bespoke builds. 4K recording is available as a separately priced upgrade.

Each studio booking includes a separate control room, access to a makeup and dressing area, meeting rooms and breakout spaces, plus support from the on-site production team. An engineer is included in every podcast studio booking.

Rooms and setups

Named rooms and setups listed across the home and booking pages include:

  • Members Lounge — listed with three seats on the home page; the book page notes an engineer included, four room views, and both video podcast and audio-only options.
  • Primrose — engineer included, three room views on the book page. On the Fitzrovia Post studios page for the same London facility, Primrose is described as a warm, luxurious intimate suite.
  • Newsroom — listed with four seats on the home page.
  • Living Room — listed among the studio setups.
  • Production Atrium — listed among the setups on the home page; also available as a hireable production room (see extras below).

Sister-site descriptions of the same London Podcasts suites also mention Coffee Corner (also styled Coffer Corner on some pages) — deep navy acoustic panelling, warm backlighting, up to four people, with a separate control room — and The Snug, a lounge-style space whose control room fits up to 14. Use those names when you want a particular look; confirm availability when you book.

Proof of capability: Curious Cases and shows made here

BBC’s Curious Cases, with Hannah Fry and Dara Ó Briain, was filmed as a video podcast with a bespoke set at London Podcasts — a useful marker of what the facility can deliver for high-profile video work.

The homepage’s Made in London section also lists shows recorded at the studios, including Amicus Wealth Management, Manopause: Wynne Evans, The Ezra Klein Show and Insiders: The TV Podcast.

How to choose audio or video

If your show is audio-first and you mainly need clean recordings and an engineer, the audio-only rates keep the session focused and cost-efficient. If you want multi-camera coverage, lighting and a rough live vision mix in the room, book video — or ask about moving cameras into a room that is not one of the four permanent video studios.

For a finished episode or social clips as well as the record, look at the Complete production and Production & Social packages rather than DIY editing after the session.

To book or ask about a specific room, go to londonpodcasts.co.uk/book, email bookings@londonpodcasts.co.uk or call 020 7209 3474.
